Meet the Sassy Librarian
I’m Katy—the brains, heart, and unapologetic sarcasm behind That Sassy Librarian Design. I’m a middle school library media specialist, which means I spend my days recommending books, fixing Chromebooks, answering questions like “Do we have to read this?” with a smile, and somehow keeping my sanity (most days).
I didn’t just fall into this job—I dove headfirst. Six years ago, I started as a paraprofessional, but quickly realized my true calling was creating a space where kids could read, create, and occasionally question my life choices in the best way possible. My library is equal parts study sanctuary, creativity lab, and comedy club (I’m the headliner, obviously).
When I’m not running the library, you’ll probably find me designing stationery and Spirit Buttons for That Sassy Librarian Design, drinking coffee like it’s a competitive sport, and plotting new ways to make reading actually fun.So whether you’re here for the laughs, the products, or because you’re secretly hoping for a sassy meme… welcome! You’re in the right place.
Feel free to check out our products online or at The Rabbit Hole in Lake Village, Arkansas!
